Keeping it True

“True Grit” simply has it all. The Western combines simple comedy with a dashing plot. It is interesting throughout to say the least and has a great cast. Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon team up to steal this one and work well together. The Coen Brothers may have produced one of the best Westerns within the last twenty years.

  1. I think we all did True Grit for our blogs this week. This must be the movie to watch. Even if I hadn't seen this movie upon reading yaour review, I like watching westerns with good plots, so I would probably go watch it.

  2. I find it funny that Jeff Bridges helped to "steal" this one when you told me that you couldn't understand a word he was saying. You do know you don't have to pretend to like a movie when reviewing it. I might have been enticed to watch this knowing that it was one of the best westerns in 20 years. I think the little girl stole the show, however.

  3. I'm not a big western movie kind of person but there are an occasional few I like. Your review makes this movie sound exciting and like it may be the next good western to add to my list. As with the other 2 True Grit reviews, I would like to know what the plot actually is. Great review otherwise!
